ABOUT Humanityrocks, LLC

Hi!  My name is Patria Gonzalez, owner, creator and designer of Humanityrocks, LLC clothing and accessories. In April, 2000 the idea for Humanityrocks was conceived.  In December of that same year, my daughter Mariah was born prematurely and her birth inspired the slogan "One Race Human” to represent humanity as a whole.  I wanted her, as a multicultural child, to recognize the humanity in people.

A few years after Mariah's birth, I began to feel the need to build an eco-friendly company that focused on making the world a better place.  My drive was to create something, a company, not only to inspire and motivate people, but that was good to the planet as well.  To that effect, all my products are earth-friendly.

Being a fan of famous humanitarians, I began to look for more ideas about the way they made me feel about life, people, the environment, and what it meant to make the world a better place.  Ideas began to overload my brain and insomnia kicked in for several months.  Every time I had a thought or idea, no matter if it was in the middle of the night and I was half asleep, I wrote it down.

My name, Patria, was a clue to my destiny. The definition of "patria" is "country, motherland, and fatherland." The name that I was given at birth cultivated my inspiration, motivation, and the direction my life would take.

My goal is to create and develop a nonprofit organization (Tutors Rock For Kids) that will donate money to families and single parents whose children require tutoring.  After all, education is the most important thing we can give our children.  Our children's education will make this world a better place.

As the single mother of two children, I know the importance and weight that education holds.  Not having the time to help your child with their homework, because of work or other responsibilities, should not deprive them, regardless of economic status, of the help he or she needs in school.  And even if a parent does have the time to help their child with their homework, it doesn't mean that they have the skills. In either case, Tutors Rock For Kids is a perfect solution.

My personal experience is my testimony of this concern.

Researching what education can do for a child in every aspect of their life, I quickly realized that it is the key to eradicating poverty and lowering taxes.  Statistics show that education lowers poverty, crime, health issues, depression, and, most of all, TAXES! How does education lower taxes? If people were better educated, there would be less need for social services, prisons, and other tax-sapping systems.
